Ski season is a bit farther into the future, but we can always prepare! Finding the best ski resorts in the Northwest now will help us prepare for a trip there in the winter! So let’s take a look at some of our favorite ski resorts that can turn into yearly trips for you!

 

Sun Valley Resort

Sun Valley Resort is a great place to go with the family! They offer lessons and clinics perfect for beginners as well as advanced courses for those who have more experience! They have a variety of housing options such as basic hotel rooms, deluxe suites, condos, and cottages! Great dining options are available around the resort as well as plenty of shopping possibilities! If you want some entertainment besides skiing, try out ice skating, the salon or spa, or the movie and opera house!

 

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort gives you the option of skiing on both Apres Vous and Rendezvous mountains. They offer private lessons, a ton of classes and clinics, and even a chance to ski with an Olympic champion skier! While here, you can lodge in the Teton Village where you can find a variety of food and drink options such as pizza, sandwiches, waffles, or fine dining!

Schweitzer Mountain Resort

Located just outside Sandpoint, Idaho, Schweitzer Mountain Resort is a fantastic place to ski! They have plenty of runs that are suitable for both beginners and expert-level skiers! You can be sure you’ll eat good food here as the Chimney Rock Grill serves pasta, seafood, steaks, salads, and desserts in a fun, pub-style atmosphere. The White Pine Lodge and Selkirk Lodge are the most popular lodging options in the area and are sure to keep you comfortable while here!

Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort

Mt. Bachelor might be the best ski resort for you if you want to experience a ton of different runs. They have about 70 runs that span over 3,683 acres and are all accessible by lift. 1,600 acres of it are groomed daily, meaning you’ll have a smooth ride! There are private and group lessons available at Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort if you need a bit of help learning too! Food won’t be a worry here as there are plenty of dining options, but we suggest Carver’s!

49 Degrees North

49 Degrees North is located in northwest Washington and is a spectacular ski resort for skiers of all levels! There are a number of great runs on the mountain including Lost Dutchman, a run that covers a whopping 2 ½ miles! Services and facilities are plentiful here at 49 Degrees North as there are rentals, lessons, daycare, and more! If you ever need a quick break from the mountain, stop by the bar for a quick refresher!
